Santa gets sneak peek at region’s treats

Brown Sugar Nambour’s Lahni Thorogood had some carrot cake set aside for Santa.

The big man, Santa Claus, recently conducted a special  tour in order to update his knowledge of the Nambour & hinterland region and was suitably impressed.

“There’s so much to do and see,” he told the Gazette. “I can’t wait to come back Christmas day.”

I Am Nambour ambassador Rhonda Billett said the tour was a reminder to everyone that the Gateway to the Sunshine Coast Hinterland Region had heaps to offer this holiday season.

“Taking Santa on tour was our way of having some fun and showing what we have,” she said.

“We have an amazing mosaic of things to experience in this region, from arriving at Sunshine Coast Airport, staying at luxury farm stays or boutique BnBs, to visiting places like the Big Pineapple, Wild Life HQ Zoo, then onto dining at local restaurants, getting caffeinated at our amazing cafés, visiting our national parks, playing at our two water slide locations, following the Nambour op shop trail, looking at the stunning gardens, exploring local waterfalls, spotting wild platypus  enjoying local picnic spots and supporting local road side food stalls.

“There is so much to experience in this Sunshine Coast Hinterland region, on any budget this holiday season whether you are a long time local or visiting the region. And Santa loved these experiences.”

Nambour Chamber of Commerce, Nambour Team Co, Nambour Retailers Group have joined forces under their I Am Nambour banner with working partners Sunshine Coast Council and Visit Sunshine Coast to show off the Gateway to the Sunshine Coast Hinterland region.
