Last Sunday, Palmwoods Bowls club hosted the inaugural Heritage Bank Lightning Triples bowls event.

Teams from Maroochydore, Maleny, Nambour Heights, Nambour, Coolum, and Palmwoods competed for the big prize.

It was the locals who were victorious on the day, with James Tunstan collecting the winner’s cheque, with Dominic Sheridan runner-up.

Prizes for each round and the skip winners were; -

Round 1 – Jamie Bartle – Round 2 – Nick Bateman – Round 3 - Ken Murray & Yorky – Round 4 Mick (Coolum) – Round 5 – Col McKinlay.

It was a fantastic day, and we would like to thank the Heritage Bank for all their support, not only for Palmwoods Bowls club for the year, but for all the other local community & sporting groups around Palmwoods.

Wednesday night 28th from 6pm, saw the commencement of the Millenia Rakes Community Social Bowls competition over 6 weeks.  Businesses, social, families and sporting clubs are invited to have lots of fun, meet new people, enjoy a coldie, and the learn the game of bowls.  

Everyone is welcome and no experience is necessary. Meals are also available from the restaurant.
