Residential rentals duo Isabel Bruderlin and Karen Worcester are planning to spend more time with family, gardening and travelling after selling their successful property management business in Maleny.

Despite a name change from Maleny Property Rentals to Legacy Properties, Isabel and Karen stressed it would be “business as usual” for all their landlords and tenants after new owners Tracie and Carl Thomas took over on 7 December.

“This business has been our life for the past 11 years, so it was extremely important to us to find like-minded people who could offer our clients an equivalent, if not better, property management service,” they said.

“We are so pleased that Tracie and Carl will continue to operate the agency as a family-owned and run business specialising in rentals only.”

Legacy Properties Qld Pty Ltd is led by Principal and Senior Property Manager Tracie Thomas and her husband Carl and will also employ daughter Sara as assistant property manager and office administrator.

Tracie is an experienced and successful Property Manager with 15 years’ experience in larger markets such as Brisbane and the Sunshine Coast as well as international experience working in the United States.

Tracie, who enjoys photography and nature walks, said she and Carl were very excited.

“We are really looking forward to becoming more involved in the Maleny community and getting to know the business and our clientele,” Tracie said.

“‘We hope to meet everyone eventually, so please feel free to drop into the office to say ‘Hi’ and introduce yourself.”

Carl, who has a wide range of experience with over 20 years in management positions including Operations Manager and Country Manager for large multinational companies, is well qualified to oversee the running of the business. 

Sara has more than eight years’ experience in administration, is an avid reader and writer and holds a graduate degree in journalism and creative writing.

Both Isabel and Karen will continue to be involved in the business over the next few months to ensure a smooth transition and wish everyone a safe and joyous Christmas and New Year holiday season.
