Christmas in the air at Yandina Craft Market

On the second Saturday of each month, the Yandina School of Arts Hall plays host to a craft market.

“I had an idea to do this as we have several people in the area who were looking for an outlet to sell some of their handmade craft work,” said organiser Lyn Simpson.

“The School of Arts is such a lovely central location, it was perfect for us.”

Everything at the markets is handmade by the stall holder.

Items for sale include hand-made greeting cards & paper craft items, pottery, macrame, jewellery, lights in bottles, knitted & crocheted items, including toys & dolls clothes, candles, and sewing items, including bags, napery and baby gift sets.

“Something for everyone,” said Lyn. “The next market is on Saturday December 12 and it will have a wonderful, Christmassy feel about it.

“It will be a terrific opportunity to find hand made, heartfelt Christmas gifts for family and friends.”

• The market will be open December 12 from 9am until 12 noon.
