Legendary Black Knight gallops on to the scene in Currie Street

The Black Knight, with his Sword of Rage gallops into Nambour. Painted on the wall of the Sunshine Coast Pinball Centre in Currie St, it’s the latest Street Art Nambour mural to grace the town.

“Congratulations to everyone involved in securing and funding this incredible landmark display,” said Sunshine Coast Pinball owner Vaughan Jones.

“The Black Knight is one of the iconic characters across four decades of pinball and we are delighted to provide display space for this incredible artwork as part of the Street Art Nambour trail.”

Street Art Nambour Coordinator Lorraine Taylor thanked Street Art Nambour’s long-time artist Ross Holloway for completing the stunning mural. “How incredible is The Black Knight?” she asked. “This work will not just bring people to town for the street art in general, it’s bound to attract pinball fans to town for this specific image. This amazing piece of art is an eye-catcher as you enter town.

“It is listed on our Street Art Trail Map located in many businesses across Nambour.”

Ross’s successful career blossomed after he finished the well-known ‘Price Street Tiger’ for Street Art Nambour. “Restaurant chain Hello Harry noticed his talent and he’s been non-stop around the country since,” said Lorraine.

Lorraine said a concept of the mural was sent to the original artist in USA for approval and the finished work went viral online, as the game has a cult following.
