Bank gives $166,445 back to Palmwoods

LAST Saturday night, community groups and organisations came together at the Palmwoods Hotel at the invitation of the Heritage Palmwoods Community Branch to receive a whopping $166,445 in funding for a broad range of projects.

"This represents the most funding we have distributed back to our community, and it has been so incredibly gratifying to engage with all of the organisations who made applications. We know that the money will be put to great use," said Director, Audrey Lyttle.

Heritage Palmwoods Community Branch is a joint-venture between Heritage Bank and the local Palmwoods community, represented by Palmwoods Community Branch Ltd (PCB).

It was established after 99 local investors raised $200,000 in capital to help set up the branch in 2006.

Under the Heritage community branch model, the PCB's share of the profits then goes back to the community via sponsorships to dedicated local organisations and community events & projects that will benefit the Palmwoods community.

"On behalf of the Directors and staff of the Branch, I really want to thank everyone who supports our bank. None of this would be possible without community support. And I encourage everyone in our community to contact us to see if we can help you with your banking needs. The more our branch is supported, the more we can contribute to our wonderful community."

You can call the Branch on 5294 0600.
